Every two years Ausdance hosts a national youth
dance festival. The Festival’s emphasis is on creative development
for all skill levels. Participants include pre-professional and emerging
dance artists, serious youth dance
company members, full time dance students and relative `beginners in
dance,
as well as dance teachers, choreographers and Australia’s youth dance
leaders.
A first for the Asia-Pacific! In the tradition of tap festivals all over the
world,
this week long exhilarating and inspiring festival of radical rhythms will explore
tap's rich and vibrant history, showcase the latest cutting edge techniques,
unite
and strengthen the international tap family and give us in Australia the chance
to celebrate the pure joy that is tap.

The Adelaide Fringe evolved in the early 1970s as a reaction against
the establishment and the then 'mainstream' Adelaide Festival. Today
the two events are inextricably linked and together create an atmosphere
of electric excitement across the city.

Melbourne International Arts Festival offers a bold and wide-ranging
program of dance, theatre, music, visual arts, music theatre, multimedia,
free and outdoor
events over 17 days each October.
