2009 West Australian Dance Awards winners

The 2009 West Australian Dance Awards (WADAs) were presented at the WADA Cocktail Party@bamBOO, held at Luxe Bar's funky outdoor performance venue, bamBOO, in Highgate, Thursday 26 November.

Guests enjoyed nibbles and drinks under the stars, as well as performances by new cabaret act, The Ruby Roses, dancers Julie-Anne Taylor and Jacqui Claus and breakers, Systematic Crew. Julie-Anne is originally from Perth but has been dancing with the New York Theatre Ballet. Jacqui is an independent dancer who was most recently seen in Chrissie Parrott's sell out season of The Garden. Systematic Crew are proudly celebrating their tenth anniversary this year.

The event was MCed by local dance theatre practitioner, James Berlyn.
