research, community service, health and injury prevention

Dally Messenger & Karen van Ulzen for their important contribution to Australian dance through one of the world’s best dance magazines, Dance Australia—a publication which enables dialogue and communication, and provides information and promotion that is invaluable to the dance sector.

Hilary Crampton for her extensive and rigorous engagement with local and international
dance practice as a writer, teacher, administrator and tireless dance
advocate over 40 years, and for her research interests in the area
of arts and cultural policy, and the ways in which policy influences
the organisation of the artistic field.

Mark Gordon As Director of the Australian Choreographic Centre
from 1996 – 2007, he has seen the centre offer fellowships and
residencies to young and emerging choreographers, the formation of
Quantum Leap Youth Choreographic Ensemble and support for returning
tertiary dance students. Mark was executive officer of Ausdance Victoria
for ten years prior to moving to Canberra.
