Ausdance WA quarterly update
June 2007
Ausdance WA would like to say farewell and thank you to Li-anne Carroll, Executive Officer, and Antonella de Gregoriis, Business Development Officer. We are pleased to welcome Alice Holland as the new Business Development Officer and Michelle Saunders will commence as the new Director in July. Robyn Smith continues her dedicated service as Administration Officer.
Ausdance WA has commenced an exciting research consultancy which, while strengthening our work as advocates, aims to establish a sustainable model to support ongoing development of the small to medium contemporary dance sector.
The 2007 STRUT program, funded by the Australia Council, at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, included the presentation of works by Bianca Martin, Phillippa Clarke, Baru Kadal and Aimee Smith in a program titled FOUR on the FLOOR.
STEPS Youth Dance Company presents a dynamic new work, Dash, from 13–17 June at The Playhouse Theatre. Their highly acclaimed Boys Can Dance program celebrates 10 years of work with talented young male dancers.
Free Range is an intensive workshop program led by Danielle Micich and Dan Rock that will take place in July with an informal studio showing at King Street Arts Centre, focusing on the choreographic process.
