Ausdance SA

Ausdance South Australia official logo

Ausdance SA is recognised as a leader in the field of dance through the provision of dance services, advocacy, activity, education and development for dance artists, practitioners and enthusiasts throughout South Australia.

The organization services the southern central half of Australia with membership open to anyone interested in dance. Current programs include Choreolab; Community Dance Space; Dancers in Schools; ASAIDA (Ausdance SA Indigenous Dance Alliance); Information, Advice & Referrals, aDm the South Australian quarterly magazine and a monthly email bulletin.

Programs

Choreolab

Choreolab, provides professional development opportunities for early career independent dance practitioners. The annual program includes subsidized access to rehearsal space, in studio seasons, performance opportunities, forums, workshops and master-classes. Open contemporary and classical technique classes are offered for independent artists on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (Please refer to Classes Schedule in the left menu for details of these and other classes)

The Community Dance Space

The Community Dance Space, at the new studio at Level 3 “The Atrium” Station Arcade 136 North Terrace, offers a wide range of dance classes in styles such as: Breakdance; Contemporary; Classical; Brazilian Samba; Capoeira; Flamenco; Hip Hop; Funk; Reggaeton and Latin Hip Hop. The space is also available for hire with special rates for independent artists.

Note: After hours access from Bank St, or via the Station Arcade & Care Park - car park lift.

Dancers in Schools

Dancers in Schools, enables schools to book dance tutors through Ausdance SA. Dancers with experience in a range of styles from Hip Hop and Breakdance to Contemporary and Capoeira are available for single sessions, half days, full days or for a series of classes.

ASAIDA

ASAIDA, the Ausdance SA Indigenous Dance Alliance provides professional development and training opportunities for young indigenous dancers. It also facilitates networking, training, workshops, and performance opportunities for indigenous dancers.
