Robert Helpmann Scholarship

The Robert Helpmann Dance Scholarship is offered biennially by the Government to assist a professional dancer or choreographer to further develop their career by supporting a specific artistic program put forward by the applicant.

The scholarship commemorates one of the most important Australian dancers and choreographers, the late Sir Robert Helpmann (1909-86), whose career on stage, film and television spanned the years 1923 to 1986.

The Foundation for Young Australians

The Foundation for Young Australians Fund for Individuals will financially support young people aged 12-25 years to enhance their skills and experiences in order to continue to make a positive contribution to the community.

The Myer Foundation

The Sidney Myer Performing Arts Awards pay tribute to outstanding achievement in drama, dance, music, mime, opera, circus and puppetry. The Awards were created in 1984 by the Sidney Myer Fund to commemorate the life and work of Sidney Myer, and to enhance the status of the performing arts in Australia.

Australian – American Fulbright Commission

The Fulbright Scholarship Program seeks to promote and increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and Australia through two way cultural and educational exchange. Grants are awarded to Australian students, scholars and professionals to study, teach, lecture and conduct research in the Unites States and to American students and scholars to engage in simlar activities in Australia. These grants are awarded each year, through a process of open competition, with grants awarded to individuals selected on the basis of academic excellence, professional qualifications and ambassadorial skills.

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust

A Churchill Fellowship is the provision of financial support to enable ordinary Australians from all walks of life to undertake a period of overseas study, or an investigative project, that cannot be readily undertaken in Australia.

Lady Mollie Askin Ballet Travelling Scholarship

The Lady Mollie Askin Ballet Travelling Scholarship is made every two years to Australian citizens of either sex, over the age of 17 years and under the age of 30 years at the relevant date who shall be judged of outstanding ability and promise in Ballet. The Award may be utilised for study maintenance and travel either in Australia or overseas.

The Marten Bequests

The Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship is open to native-born Australians aged 21-35 (17-35 ballet) who are of outstanding ability and promise in one or more categories of the Arts. The scholarships are intended to augment a scholar’s own resources towards a cultural education, and may be used for study, maintenance, and travel either in Australia or overseas. Scholarships are offered every second year in: Sculpture, Architecture, Prose, Ballet and Acting.
