Masterclasses

International artists and teachers will conduct 2-hour masterclasses over four days (14 – 17 July).

The masterclasses reflect the conference themes of:

‘transcultural conversations’ through culturally specific and crossover workshops, foregrounding Australian contemporary Indigenous styles;
‘mind/body connections’ through somatic and martial arts approaches to dance training and practices;
‘re-thinking the way we make dance’ through alternative compositional, jamming and improvisatory processes;
‘sustainability’: cultural sustainability and ways to sustain your body and your dance practice are explored through this series of classes.

Cost per class: $25.00 (AUD) Adults; $15.00 (AUD) concession

Participation will be open to both delegates and the local community on a first come, first served basis. Numbers are strictly limited.
