2009 Summer School of Dance
Ausdance ACT brings nationally renowned dancers to Canberra for classes suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced students, with a morning Pilates class to promote flexibility and strength. Summer School is a great opportunity for dance students to add a new layer of skill, and for beginners (including adults) to try the main dance styles.
Classes are suitable for participants aged 12 to adult and different levels of skill - if you’re unsure which level will suit you, Ausdance staff will be very happy to help you. Class sizes are limited so avoid disappointment and book soon. The timetable is structured so you can follow a stream that suits your level of skills, and there are displays and dance films in the lunch break, with special dance giveaways such as signed posters from Australian dance companies.
You can choose to do individual classes, but we will give preference to registrations for the complete week. Registration ensures that you’ll be able to take the classes you’d like at the Summer School. Arriving on the day without a booking is possible, but you may be disappointed to find your chosen class is full. To register, call or email with Ausdance ACT for your registration form today – numbers are limited to 25 for most classes.
The dance teachers are drawn through the Ausdance network from professional backgrounds such as the Sydney Dance Company, Chunky Move, Tasdance, or Fresh Fly, and all have international experience and training. We will have the 2009 teachers confirmed very soon (some of them are overseas) and they will be listed on the registration form.
